All tenders awarded to bring fast internet to the country
The PNRR goal of awarding all the tenders included in the Italian Ultra Broadband Strategy has been achieved. This was possible thanks to the awarding of the tender for the deployment of new 5G networks in Italian areas without fast mobile internet and the awarding of the last lot of the ‘Italy at 1 Giga’ tender. The total investment in ultrabroadband amounted to EUR 5.5 million.

New ETSI standard published
During the week, the process of defining and publishing the new ETSI EN 319 532-4 standard was successfully concluded. Thanks to it, effective European-wide interoperability of qualified eDelivery systems was achieved, in accordance with the eIDAS Regulation, based on the use of the REM transport protocol.

Tender for the National Strategic Pole awarded
The European tender for the construction and management of the Polo Strategico Nazionale (PSN) has been awarded in accordance with the Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR) and the Strategia Cloud Italy. The project underlying the tender – which started from an auction base of EUR 4.4 billion – was approved by the Department for Digital Transformation in December 2021.
The creation of the PSN is one of the key hubs of the Strategia Cloud Italia, together with the classification of public data and services by the Agenzia per la Cibersicurezza Nazionale (ACN) and the migration to the cloud of digital data and services of the Public Administration.

Guidelines in consultation
The Guidelines on the technical rules on open data and the re-use of public sector information have been published. The Guidelines are provided for in the decree transposing Directive 2019/1024 (so-called Open Data Directive) and aim to support public administrations and other stakeholders in the process of opening up data and re-using public sector information.
Piattaforma notifiche digitali
Regulation published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale
The regulation governing the operation of the Piattaforma notifiche digitali (PND) has been published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale.
The Platform, established by the legislator in 2019, is designed to simplify digital notifications for administrations, citizens and businesses. Since the publication of the regulation, administrations must consider for which notifications and how they can start using the platform to make their administrative procedures more efficient.
